What our dietitians help with
All dietitian sessions at CareDirect are weight-inclusive and trauma-aware.
Disordered eating
Structured, collaborative care for restrictive, binge and purging patterns, as part of a broader treatment team.
Emotional eating
Skills to understand eating in the context of mood, stress and self-soothing.
Gut-brain health
IBS, FODMAPs and the bidirectional relationship between gut and mental wellbeing.

Medication-related changes
Managing appetite, weight and energy shifts from antidepressants, antipsychotics and stimulants.
Everyday nutrition
Practical, non-diet guidance on eating well with a full life, not a meal plan that ignores it.
How we work with nutrition.
Collaborative nutrition care that respects the psychological side of eating.
Step 1: Weight-inclusive by default
Our dietitians practise within the Health at Every Size framework unless clinical indication requires otherwise.
Step 2: Joined up with your therapy
Care plans are coordinated with your psychologist and nurse, especially in disordered-eating presentations.
Step 3: Practical over prescriptive
Expect guidance that fits your kitchen, your budget and the reality of your week.
Step 4: Review every 3 sessions
Short, measurable goals with regular review, so you know whether it's working.
