Mental health care that
sees the whole person.
We bring together psychologists, accredited mental health social workers, nurses and allied health professionals to deliver personalised, coordinated mental health care across Australia.
Built from the gaps
we kept seeing.
CareDirect started with a simple frustration. Too many Australians were bouncing between disconnected services, repeating their story, waiting weeks between appointments, and falling through the cracks of a fragmented system.
We built CareDirect to change that. One structured intake. One coordinated team. Seamless care pathways that match each person to the right clinician at the right time, reducing fragmentation and improving continuity across every discipline.
Today we deliver accessible, coordinated mental health care to Australians from capital cities to regional towns. For patients, that means continuity and convenience. For clinicians, a flexible, supported environment that removes administrative burden and enables a stronger focus on care.
Healthcare built around
your actual life
CareDirect Telehealth delivers accessible, high-quality mental health care through a connected, multidisciplinary model. Care. Connected. Coordinated.
One intake. One plan.
Six disciplines working together.
Every CareDirect journey starts with the same step: a nurse-led intake that maps your needs to the right combination of clinicians, then keeps them coordinated as your care evolves.

A multi-disciplinary team,
vetted and ready to help
Every CareDirect clinician is a qualified Australian practitioner, fully insured, and working under Australian clinical governance standards. Our team includes AHPRA-registered psychologists, occupational therapists and dietitians, AASW-accredited mental health social workers, credentialled mental health nurses, and qualified counsellors with relevant professional membership.
Questions about CareDirect
The things people most often want to know about who we are and how we work.
CareDirect Telehealth was founded by non-clinical professionals who saw an opportunity to improve how Australians access mental health care. Working collaboratively with clinicians and industry advisors, CareDirect was created to deliver a more connected, accessible, and clinician-supported telehealth experience across Australia.
Yes. CareDirect is an independent, Australian-owned telehealth service. All clinicians are based in Australia. Our team includes AHPRA-registered psychologists, occupational therapists and dietitians, AASW-accredited mental health social workers, credentialled mental health nurses, and qualified counsellors. Each clinician holds the registration or accreditation appropriate to their discipline.
Every new client begins with a 15-minute telephone or video intake assessment with a registered mental health nurse, not an admin team or an algorithm. The nurse listens to your story, assesses risk and goals, and builds a personalised care plan that connects you to the right combination of clinicians from day one.
CareDirect brings together psychologists, accredited mental health social workers, dietitians, occupational therapists, nurses and counsellors, and coordinates them around one care plan, so nothing falls through the cracks.
All consultations run on encrypted, Australian-hosted video infrastructure. Clinical notes are stored in a secure electronic health record compliant with the Australian Privacy Principles and the My Health Records Act. You can request a copy of your records or revoke consent at any time.
Yes. That's the point. With your consent, your care team shares relevant clinical information through our internal case-management system and meets regularly to review complex cases. You don't have to repeat your story to every new clinician.
You can reach us through our contact page, by email, or by booking a free 15-minute orientation call. For clinical questions, your assigned nurse remains your point of contact throughout your care journey.
We are not a registered NDIS provider. We can work with Plan-managed and Self-managed NDIS participants, and we welcome DVA-funded clients and people with private health extras. What you can claim depends on your NDIS plan type and supports, your DVA referral or approval pathway, and your private health insurer and level of cover. Please confirm with your funder or your nurse before booking.
